Todd I. Youngdahl CFP®
Financial planning is the only career I've happily ever had. I knew when I was in college majoring in finance, that I wanted to be in a field that combined my interests in investments and in helping people. Fortunately for me, I have had the opportunity to do just that in my financial planning practice for over 20 years.
I value building long-lasting relationships with my clients and take pride in advising them on one of the most important aspects of their lives … their financial security. I am a planner at heart and appreciate developing strategic plans for people to ensure they are achieving their goals.
Being a part of Washington Wealth Advisors allows me to be fully independent with no ties to any one investment company. It was important to me that I be a fiduciary so as to provide clients with conflict-free advice with open architecture for their investments. Working with Maura, a trusted colleague at a similar point in both her career and personal life, has been a great partnership and collaboration.
Prior to joining WWA, I spent 13 years as an independent financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial and earned my CFP® designation. I graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in finance and a minor in communications.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and four kids. We love to watch movies and cheer on our favorite sports teams including the Washington Nationals and West Virginia Mountaineers football and basketball teams. I am very passionate about raising money for childhood cancer and am active with Curesearch to raise money and awareness.
My family makes fun of me all the time for descriptively talking about food in really great detail when I'm eating. They say I would be a perfect cooking competition T.V. judge where I could eat and critique food as a career … perhaps in another life!
